Albie's right, just be honest about the whole thing. I know several pilots who had minor run-ins with the law before they signed up. It's a negative, but certainly not a disqualifier (as long as no one was hurt, no alcohol, etc).
One of the students at my base a few years ago got caught doing something like 125 in a 50 on his bike. Of course he had several one-way conversations with the squadron leadership, and got abused endlessly on assignment night, but other than that nothing really happened to him (at least on the military side of things... don't know what happened to his insurance rates).
