I've been trying to find the best deals in buying twin time. I'd found a place in Galveston but it takes nearly 4 months to schedule. I know about ATP and Aviator but I'm not paying $3900 for 35hrs. at ATP and I can't relocate to south FL for 100hrs. at Aviator. I'm looking for 50 hours and a decent deal. I know that there are some obscure places out there but they are just hard to find. Your help would be much appreciated.

I just finished at Aviator. Did 96 hours in 15 days. Could be done quicker if you are REALLY motivated. Cost was around 6900. But don't believe the ad that says they have radar. They do, but its on the WSI:) Pretty well maintained airplanes though. Avionics are trainers, but the engines ran and the gear always came down.

Side note: the guy I was flying with and myself turned around and landed at MCO the night the PanAm arrow burned in. ASOS was 100 & 1/4. A bit errie the next morning landing over a wrecked fuselage, NTSB, and cherry pickers putting the power lines back up.

My thoughts go out to the family and freinds of the two pilots killed.

glad it worked out for ya. i did my initial ratings with him many moons ago, and came to realize that if people would just go check it out for themselves instead of listening to the people that perpetuate the "my buddies ex-roomates best friend had a girlfriend that had a bad experience" rumors, that theyd probably have a decent time, and get exactly what they went for and then some ;)

anywhoo...to answer flyboy, does that sound like a viable answer? you can get 100 in about 2 weeks...no need to relocate. i personally knew a guy that did it in 10 days, but he was one tired dude when he went home :D
