I am trying to compile a complete list of jumpseat information for all the CASS Airlines (and Non-CASS for that matter). This way we will have a one stop place to get J/S information. Stuff I need is:

1. How to sign up in advance for the J/S (web, phone, in person?)
2. How many JS'ers are allowed
3. Any other important info..

You can either email me, or just post it directly on the web site ( www.wikiair.com ). Just click the 'CASS Approved Airlines' or 'Airlines' links on the homepage and click the airline you work for.

Thanks!

As a former J/S chair, I feel this information is best kept off a public website. The TSA is trying to restrict the jumpseats even further, why give them any more fuel for the fire? I am sure your intentions are good however that info is readily available on the Alpa.org site or by calling your respective jumpseat chairperson. Call me parinoid but some people just don't need to know!

Just my opinion!

You really should go to your respective J/S comittee chairman.

AGREED..MANY TIMES OVER!!
Please go to your Jumpseat Chairman and get the info from him/her

Coments noted.

I had thought about this before posting the request, becasue I didn't really see the harm in posting jumpseat policys on a public site, but I see what you guys are saying.

Anyway, I have just posted a link to the alpa.org 'Jumpseat Guide' for the airlines instead, and this contains all the info one would need to jumpseat on any airline. It just took me a while to find it on the alpa site.

Thanks guys...

As a current JS chair I have to agree with the above. Anything that people need to know is availible to them via their jumpseat committee. That is also what union dues monies are for. It may encourage those who do not have a JS committee to start one.
