My sister-in-law (we have a "love-hate" relationship :D :D ) is going to the canyon in the summer and wants info on any tour operators (yes, the flying kind) that are reputable. Any help is appreciated.

See, aviation related threads do still exist.:D :D

Air Grand Canyon flies 182's and stationairs. Seems like a pretty good place. Don't know a whole lot about them though.

If they want to fly out of the Phoenix area then Westwind Aviation is the way to go. They fly out of DVT and SDL with overflights of Sedona and Flagstaff on the way up.

I flew there for a year and loved every second of it. Nice aircraft (well, nice for a 135 op, anyway), good crew. The pay sucked, but oh well.

Scenic

they've been around since '67 (officially), operate twin turbine a/c under Pt 121.....knowing this gives me peace of mind

also the only one i'd want to fly for (in that kind of market)

Stay away from King. Been there done that. Knew three people who had engine failures while working there. Very scary!
