Need Help... Have a friend who wants to get their A & P

My friend is looking to change careers, he is an licensed electrician and has been an equipment tech as well. He would like the different ways to obtain his A & P and how long the training and schooling typically lasts? He lives in the Rochester, NY area. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated! The minimum requirements as listed in FAR 65.

They have a 12 month A&P program. This is the fastest way to get the license. Note that it usually it takes 18-24 months.
