Need a Trans States Sponsor

If you live near ORD apply to SkyWest. They need pilots badly right now (think 30 f/o's short every month, just in Chicago). Instead of just putting your resume in, contact them directly or better yet, go to the open house! It's just HR interview stuff, but they'll often get you in for a real interview VERY soon after that. Not only would you be based at home, you would have a better schedule, flying more, with more time off, and more pay. Seems like an obvious choice to go to either SkyWest, Republic, or Shuttle.

I don't think anyone really gave the answer he was looking for.....how DOES one get a TSA sponsor? WHY does one need a TSA sponsor?

So if you don't honestly KNOW someone at TSA, it's ok to just have some random TSA employee give you a rec? I fail to see how this helps in the application process. I would feel strange about asking someone I don't know to give me a golden seal of approval when they really don't know me.

This is the first time I have heard of someone wanting to come to TSA and need a "sponsor" If you dont know anyone at TSA then my guess is that it will be pretty hard to get one. I know I probably wont be handing out any sponsorships to people I don't know. Anyways go to www.transstates.net and then click on careers on the left...scroll way down and you will see the person and number to fax the resume to.
