Good day my fellow American Pilots....

Is there a thread dedicated to VOR navigation? Currently trying to get a better understanding of their uses for navigating for X-country flights. I have books but they don't seem to explain clearly....If there is a thread for this I'd be happy to see it. Once I learn this, this will greatly reduce the sweating I mentioned in one of my previous posts...Thanks all.

Here is a good link for ya to start learing:

http://www.campbells.org/Airplanes/VOR/vor.html

It comes with a link to a VOR navigation simulator. It should help you build some situational awareness concerning you aircraft position from the navaid and the panel indications.

Enjoy!

There are some other really cool nav simulators there too.
