Regarding the Tiger, I never flew one. I remember pilot reports of book figures of 140 KTAS, but I was deliberately skeptical of light aircraft manufaturer's performance numbers on a twenty year old airframe.

Pilotyip has some experience with the airplane and if he says the machine will do it, it will.

The airplane never excited me too much, but it seemed like it might be worth a look if you wanted to travel at a reasonable speed cheaply.

One thing in the airplane's favor is the Lycoming O-360 engine. You wouldn't be pulling that much power out of it at 7500 feet, but you can run the engine at full throttle all day long at any altitude and likely make TBO with it.
