K3 Aeronautics out of IKK, Kankakee, IL has a Twin Comanche. As of a year ago it was $169/hr. It goes on long trips quite a bit as well. IFR equiped, with a 2 axis autopilot and VFR LORAN. Nonstandard panel though.

Ok, so here is the deal, I am looking for a twin to rent for one week, we need to put 40hrs on it.
The story behind this is one of my students has just gotten his private multi licence and has recently bought into an aztec which he is not allowed to fly until he has 50 multi. (insurance reasons) Anyway, he is a business man that really enjoys flying himself and he has flown about 600 hrs in the 2 yeas he has had his licence so he is pretty proficient.
He wants to get into his aztec ASAP so he figured the best way to do it is to rent a plane for the hrs he needs.

So the question here is, does anybody know a place to rent a twin that we can take to around the country for a week?, we are located in MI but I think we can pick it up anywhere on the east coast, we are pretty flexible.

Would appreciate any pointers?

We just want one plane for the two of us, not anything else.

Call Billy at Seamans Airport 9n3 they are just nw of scranton wilkes barre airport kavp ( airline svc )

I actually owned the Aztec before Billy bought it and it is a very nice plane with all king digital, kln 90b and a stec 50 with alt hold was just installed..

best of all it is an aztec instead of these half twins you see everywhere else..

his number is 570-945-5125

hope this helps..

Rupp Aviation used to have an Apache at KUSE. Rented and flew that for a lots of hours as a Student and MEI.

Might try calling to whoever's up there now if you can track down Steve Rupp and see if he still owns it. Rented it Dry for around $95/hr and took care of the gas myself hunting around for good prices.
