Ok, so here is the deal, I am looking for a twin to rent for one week, we need to put 40hrs on it.
The story behind this is one of my students has just gotten his private multi licence and has recently bought into an aztec which he is not allowed to fly until he has 50 multi. (insurance reasons) Anyway, he is a business man that really enjoys flying himself and he has flown about 600 hrs in the 2 yeas he has had his licence so he is pretty proficient.
He wants to get into his aztec ASAP so he figured the best way to do it is to rent a plane for the hrs he needs.

So the question here is, does anybody know a place to rent a twin that we can take to around the country for a week?, we are located in MI but I think we can pick it up anywhere on the east coast, we are pretty flexible.

Would appreciate any pointers?

We just want one plane for the two of us, not anything else.

What part of MI and how soon would you need it?

We should have a Duchess coming in within 30 days (give or take).

SE MI, but dont really matter, we would pick up anywhere pretty much.
Mid to late April is what we are looking at right now.

Whats the deal on this plane? School? Private?

School NE Ohio.

If it goes through, I'll drop you a PM with details. If you're still interested then, we can arrange it.

food for thought...flight school twins don't seem to go more than a handful of flights without mx. Bring an A&P with you on your journey! :D

It's a bit away, but there's a seminole out of KHEF (DC Area) that I used to fly around the country on cross-country flights (gone for 3-4 days at a time). Dulles Aviation is the flight school.

Lafayette Aviation, KLAF, central Indiana. Seneca I, good IFR equipped airplane, I think 179/hr wet plus a possible fuel charge (was back in Oct, dunno about now). I did my MEI in this plane, its good and safe. They might give you a deal if you are buying that much time.
