Yesterday afternoon 10/21, I was doing a Flight FLL to EYW, and most of the way down we where listening to a guy in a navajoe (on MIA center) with some engine problems he was saying his manifold pressure was low, and every few minutes the guy said "Im not going to make it". he eventualy ditched about 15miles east of Fort Lauderdale. Some one saw a flare go up and the Coast Guard was on there way before he ditched. It sounded like he made it, I hope so. I believe the pilot was the only one onboard.
Its the 3rd time I have listened to someone going down, it gives everyone a very un-easy feeling.
I was just wondering if anyone in FL has heard anything about this? I live in Naples and have not heard a thing except what I listened to over Miami Center.

Someone post a story about it. Check" pilot goes down for second time" a few days ago. He was rescued according to the post.
