I just got a copy of my NDR by requesting it with my NJA application. It shows me as having a suspended license in Arizona. The problem is that I have never had a license in Arizona. I'm just a little concerned because when this gets to NJA I'm afraid it could cost me the job. I've put in a call to the AZ DMV but I wanted to know if any of you have dealt with something like this before. Thanks.
You ought to be able to get a copy of the license (which should have a picture of someone else) to prove it wasn't you. You should also check your credit, since someone using your name for a DL may be using it for other purposes as well.

Did you get a ticket in AZ and never pay it ?

i did actually get a ticket in az back in 1995 for an unsafe lane change while driving to texas. it was only about $50 and i did pay it and have never heard anything since. but get this, i got a call back from the az dmv today and they show no records that match what the ndr is reporting. the lady said that she would look into it further and get back to me.

I would have her mail or FAX you a letter with the AZ DMV letterhead on it. And keep her phone number for reference.

Years ago when I started at the airlines, I had the samething happen with a suspended DL in Montana. After finally talking to some one at the DMV in Helena I was told my DL was supsended for a DUI. 3 weeks later I found out that the name was the same as my middle and last and a one digit difference in the SSN. It took a total of 12 months to get this cleared.
So my suggestion is you get all the paperwork you can from AZ, give NJA a call before the interview telling them of the mistake and assure them you are working to clear it and finally find a friend who is a lawyer and get them to call AZ threating to sue if they do not clear your record ASAP.

it looks like it will be getting cleared up. the lady at the dmv has no idea why that was reported to the ndr and is sending them an "abstract" to get it off my file. and it was an "unsafe" lane change, i didn't use my blinker and, stupid me, a cop was right behind me. i'd advise all of you to check your ndr, this was on there for who knows how long and i had no idea.
