I just got a copy of my NDR by requesting it with my NJA application. It shows me as having a suspended license in Arizona. The problem is that I have never had a license in Arizona. I'm just a little concerned because when this gets to NJA I'm afraid it could cost me the job. I've put in a call to the AZ DMV but I wanted to know if any of you have dealt with something like this before. Thanks.

Never heard of this type of problem. Does the report show the dates of your "real" drivers license? Do you have proof of where you were living at the time of the suspension.....ie..college transcript with dates that conflict.

it does show that i have a valid license in CA (correctly). but no dates are given on the suspended one. this is what it looks like and says:

Califonia: Y (valid license)
Arizona: N (suspended license)

then it says to contact the states dmv for any disputes. i left a message for the "person in charge of these matters" on thursday but have not recieved a response. if this goes like other issues at the dmv its going to take awhile.

Trust me on this you have to get a lawer. And it won't be a quick thing.

Did you get a ticket in AZ and never pay it ?

I have a friend that Interviewed at another fractional company and he said he was denied the job. He was saying that there was personal information bill passed from the TSA that allows a potential employer to have access to your internet history. They can't look it up if you just apply, but if you have a personal interview then they are allowed access to that information.

He was thinking that they were reading his emails and made a decision on his character due to his frequent websites he visits.

LOL!! Get outta here!! I guess they'll have to revoke everyone's ATP since moral value is suspect...

That's funny.

Hey Man! i'm dead serious! Just check out this website. This site was approved for anyone looking into someone's background.

Just imagine what a potential employer can get.

You ought to be able to get a copy of the license (which should have a picture of someone else) to prove it wasn't you. You should also check your credit, since someone using your name for a DL may be using it for other purposes as well.

i did actually get a ticket in az back in 1995 for an unsafe lane change while driving to texas. it was only about $50 and i did pay it and have never heard anything since. but get this, i got a call back from the az dmv today and they show no records that match what the ndr is reporting. the lady said that she would look into it further and get back to me.

I would have her mail or FAX you a letter with the AZ DMV letterhead on it. And keep her phone number for reference.

Years ago when I started at the airlines, I had the samething happen with a suspended DL in Montana. After finally talking to some one at the DMV in Helena I was told my DL was supsended for a DUI. 3 weeks later I found out that the name was the same as my middle and last and a one digit difference in the SSN. It took a total of 12 months to get this cleared.
So my suggestion is you get all the paperwork you can from AZ, give NJA a call before the interview telling them of the mistake and assure them you are working to clear it and finally find a friend who is a lawyer and get them to call AZ threating to sue if they do not clear your record ASAP.

it looks like it will be getting cleared up. the lady at the dmv has no idea why that was reported to the ndr and is sending them an "abstract" to get it off my file. and it was an "unsafe" lane change, i didn't use my blinker and, stupid me, a cop was right behind me. i'd advise all of you to check your ndr, this was on there for who knows how long and i had no idea.
