Hey guys and gals overheard n78047 have an engine failure on arival into atl, must have been in the clouds because she was askining atc about hitting the high terrain there, tryed to raise her on 121.50 and rome unicom with no luck( she was below atc coverage at the time). Just wonderining if any of you that might live near there heard anything. I know she did not make the airport because we heard the ELT after a few minutes. Hope she walked away, God speed.

What kind of plane was this? I didn't find the tailnumber listed in any databases of a/c with U.S. registration. Check CNN, if a plane crashed near ATL they will have coverage of it for sure.

hope the lady is all right too.

Good news, everyone's OK.
