Any one got any pointers on where to find N reg US companies operating/based out of the uk?

cheers & warm beer

TeeDub,

If you go to the FAA website you can pull up registrations by State/Country, etc. Or fi you are interested in finding a particular type you can search the type and it will show any registered in the UK.

I've looked before and a lot of the "N" reg aircraft with UK addresses seem to be registered to the same company, some kind of company set up to allow UK citizens with FAA certificates to own a US reg aircraft I imagine., but there are some corporate owned aircraft on there too.

Another somewhat time consuming option is to pick up a copy of Aircraft Illustrated. It lists aircraft movements for the major UK airports so the planespotter geeks can keep track of unusual traffic. Just look for the "N" registered aircraft and then look up the "N"-number on the FAA webiste. It's a lot of work and most aircraft are going to be transient, but you may find a UK based aircraft in there somewhere.

Good Luck!

PS Where you from?

teedub,

Don't know if this helps you or not, and I may be wrong, but I think there's a JetStar box at FlightSafety ATL. Hopefully this will help you out.

Hey teedub,

You may also want to check into this outfit:

http://www.kaiserair.com/about_7.html

Someone posted a job ad from them on here a few months ago. They were looking for a FAA licensed pilot with the right to live/work in the UK to fly a "N" Hawker over there. I spoke with someone at the company and received an application from them, but never heard back after I sent it in. The job is still on their website so you may want to give them a call.

They prefer Hawker experience, but at least you have jet time which I didn't.

Hope this helps. I'm from up north (the Durham/Newcastle area), but also lived over here for many years.

check it out!
