I'm wondering if it's as boring as he thinks it is. He thinks you fly a tiny bit and then site at any rare destination in timbuktu and pick your nose waiting at the airport for many hours and then return....He needs stimulation...

humm...stimulation.

help a brother out Lollie. If he aint gettin it at home, you can guarantee he's gettin it somewhere.

If he's that old crusty UAL fart who dropped by here the other day and promptly took an asswhoppin' -- hook him up with some Blue Steel (Viagra) and my bet is you kiddies wont be back on FI.com for days!! -- you might not be the looker you used be to honey, but they say those pills work magic.

let us know how that stimulation thing goes?

:)

Yes it is boring... horribly so. It is so dull that I recommend you go fly for a regional. It is so much more exciting and the people so much more lively.

Close the door on your way out please.

Thanks!

Actually, I've always felt that it was most of the other forms of commercial flying that were boring (with such obvious exceptions as Alaskan bush flying, fire suppression, air ambulance, etc..) Corporate flying is generally always a different day, different mission. Perhaps you should try it yourself and not rely on husband's opinion. Personally, my husband doesn't work outside the home. I'm the corporate pilot.

OMG, that is freakin' histerical!

Yeah...boring. Flew up to Kalispell MT (truly God's country) the other day (.9 flight), arriving at 0830, got the boss on his way, grabbed the fly rod and waders from the wing locker, spent the day on the river, departed around 1800 (.8 flight home). Tough day's work...your husband is probably not cut out for this kind of rigor...tell him to look somewhere else.

Lollie, mine has been corporate since he left the FBO, CFI, charter 15 years ago. It does have its ups and downs. Some flying is 30 min, wait 4-5 hr then fly home. Sometimes it might be wait 2 days. I don't know what type flying your DH is doing. By the previous post about west vs east coast. He's been changing jobs alot. Corporate is also very unstable at times. At least that has been some of what I've experienced and seen, but then again so can any aspect of aviation and most industries these days.

Don't let our secrets out. The more these airline types think that corporate is boring and demeaning the better. Besides, everyone knows that the best fly fishing is up on the Gallatin River in Big Sky.

You know it!

Lollie,
You husband is right. He should stay away from corporate flying. He will be much happier sitting around the FBO waiting for a new student to walk through the door than sitting in the Pilot's Lounge watching The Weather Channel.

This is how we "keep our nose clean" ;)

Maybe she would like to polish my strut? My gear doors are the cleanest on the ramp!

This can't be serious, I smell a mole. If it isn't flame bait then I recommend mesa. The standard to which all airlines will be measured by. If this doesn't work I recommend a CDL and farm animal transport. The pay is better but the stink is about the same.

Yeah..

This is the most obvious flame bait ever!!

"Uh yeah, uhh my hubby thinks all corporate pilots xxxxxxxxxxx they dont know about big iron, and they don't what its like to be on a schedule...o and he needs more s t i m u l a t i o n."

...........right

who is this imposter?

Just think, in a few days or weeks their are going to be 5000 pilots from a certain airline base out of ATL, looking up every corporate buddy they know. Lets keep corp flying a secret, we have enough of these types killing our pay.
