has anyone from here used http://www.multiengine.net program?
Did it work for you? Meaning, after you'd completed it and gained some multi-time, did you get a job somewhere?
What was your total time going into this program?
Thanks

That appears to be either a PFT, or you are paying them to do a job they were hired to do! I don't know the legality of it (depends on whether the operation falls under 135) if it is the latter, but either way I'd search for a more ethical way of building multi engine time.

Go and get your CFI and MEI, then start instructing multi engine students. Can't go wrong that way.

It's PFT stay away!!!! PFT scams are a killer to the aviation industry and take away jobs from qualified low time pilots that need to pay their bills and feed their family.

So does every 20 dollar an hour RJ job. That pretty much makes everyone and every employer guilty.

Jesus H. Christ, here we go again. By the way, their operations fall under part 91, not 135. They do offshore pipeline patrol operations.

Wrong. PFT in a twin comanche??? C'mon.

ME rated pilots "rent" the right seat and fly the plane. The company pilot still does his non-flying duties while the renter does all the flying. No training or promise of a job whatsoever. The daily flying would still happen....regardless if there was a renter in the right seat or not.

Same as going to the FBO and renting their twin comanche. This is just a heck of a lot cheaper.

Correct, but you wont convince any of the "die hards" on this board of that. Like the Russian said in his post above, it's okay for a pilot to whore himself out to every regional airline for $15 to $20 an hr flying an RJ (and that is ALL you're doing, plain and simple) and try to justify it by saying it's a "stepping stone", but this program is wrong? Give me a d@mn break!

Ok Agpilot, I tell you what... I got a job for you, and you're gonna love it! I've got a ditch that needs to be dug, and I've even got a shovel you can use. All you got to do is pay me $15 bucks an hour, and you can dig the ditch for me. Imagine the workout you'll get! Why, you can drop that membership in your local gym. See how beneficial this will be for you?

That aside, these bottoms feeders are just scamming anyone who pays them for time they cannot legally log! The renter pilot sits in the right seat, the PIC is in the left. Since this is part 91 (or so I'm told, I'm not certain if that's legal for pipeline patrol) and neither the aircraft nor the operation requires a 2 pilot crew, then only the PIC can legally log this time.

We seem to go around and around with the youn-uns on this board... avoid scams like this at all costs! There are NO SHORTCUTS! When you decide to try moving up after blowing your hard earned cash on something like this, and the interviewer checks your logbook, you will likely be told "Thanks, don't call us, we'll call you." Because they will have another applicant with LEGITIMATE multi-engine time.

Go ahead and waste your money if you want to. I just hate to see bottom feeders profiting from low timers.

Oh BTW, I've got a barn full of pig$h!t that I need shoveled out. If anyone wants, they can pay me just $17.50 per hour to shovel it out! WHAT A DEAL!!!

Let me ask you this AerroMatt....do you think safety pilot time is legit to log when guys aren't even touching the controls? There are thousands of guys with this kind of time in their logbooks at just about every operator in existance. Nobody seems to give a rat's azz about that. In fact every single pilot coming out of places like Ariben and ATP have safety pilot time in their logbooks. Obviously they got regional jobs.

Honestly, the pft/pfj issue really doesn't apply to this particular situation. The actual "job" is being performed by the paid employee/pilot, not the timebuilder.

Your a funny guy, I'll give you that, but you have absolutely no clue what this operation is all about. And you dont know SQUAT about pipeline patrol ops, because ALL of them are conducted under part 91, very legally. I've been a patrol pilot for several years now, so believe me I KNOW the regs. Guys like you that are so quick to chastize some one for even considering a program like this one would much rather whore yourselves out to a regional or pisshouse charter operation somewhere, flying junked out rattletrap airplanes for a slaves wage, apparently. I cant imagine the dignity and self respect you must feel when you slide into that uniform and climb aboard your shiny bird to collect that $1000 a month paycheck. OR maybe you troll around and around the pattern all day with students in a Duchess, PRAYING that you might get enough multi time built up by the time you're 40 to go look for that holy grail job you think you're entitled to because you've been told that this is the only accepted way to "pay your dues". Give me a friggin break! Bitch about programs like this one all you want... but until some of you holier than though types that slam every program like this one that comes down the pike actually stop the big talk and START standing up for what you preach, you hold no weight with me. And by the way, I'm FAR from being a low timer... I just passed the 5,000 hr mark last month, and fly an average of 120 hrs a month on pipeline patrol. This program is no more of a short cut than some kid's rich daddy paying 40 grand to put him through a 90 day fast track program at some regional academy, a the end of which he is "guaranteed" a right seat in whatever flavor of the day they happen to be flying.
