Multi-engine Time Building (Walkwitz Aviation)

Has anyone had experience with Walkwitz Aviation? It seems too cheap to be true. I need to build multi time. I have my MEI checkride in a couple of weeks, but I'm not counting on getting students anytime soon, so I need a cheap way to build time.

I think I heard of this place. Remember someone saying that they have low prices because they put 4 people in a plane and have every one log it as total time. They have an ATP pilot rent (sign for) the aircraft, then the CFI sits in the back seat and gives instruction to the sole manipulator of the controls who is under the hood and sitting next the guy acting as the safety pilot. See, all perfectly legal!

actually, I'm not. But I won't say that I'm sure it's the same company. Just remember being in the same boat needing multi - time and the name rings a bell and there was a company doing that. My point is due diligence. Any deal you get, investigate it, get it in writing, and never pay in advance. google airman flight school to view some cheap flying horror stories. good luck.

Don't know if it's the same outfit; however, if it's in Ocala, FL and run by a guy named Ray Walkwitz, I'd be careful.

I used that outfit in 1991 when I was on my way out of the military and trying to amass all the civilian ratings I could.

My goals at the time didn't include building multi-engine time, but their multi-engine availability was poor then (they had, as I recall, 2 Apaches and a C-310).

My advice would be for you to get your agreement with this outfit in writing and not to pay for more than block time up front.

There is a place in Ft. Peirce FL that offers 50 & 100 Hour time building packages. For the 100 hr it is about $8000. They have about 12 BE-76 that are alright for 20 year old planes. But remember if its too good to be true it usually isn't. There is always a catch. At this place you must buy fuel there if you buy it anywhere else they only give you $1.50 a gallon back.

There is some pipeline crowd in texas that has you fly pipeline patrol in a semenhole, 100hrs for $2500. Don't know their name and it's suspiciously close to PFT.

If anyone knows the name of this pipeline patrol company in Texas, please let me know. $25.00 an hour for 100 hours of multi time, PFT or not, is good when you only have around 25 hour in a Duchess. I have near 450 hour TT but need the multi to meet most freight pilot positions. Contact [email protected] if you can help.
