That airplane is downright goofy. It looks like a lot of fun, pulling 9 G's. I'm guessing no airline interviewer knows what a cri cri is. Let's put it this way, if they did know what a cri cri was they would prolly have a good laugh. They might count it as competitive multi time though.

Even better, how about logging multi AND turbine in it?

That's not just turbine...that's PIC JET time! Of course, in the US, you would need a type rating or LOA for it since it's a jet. DOH!

All joking aside guys, whats your take on it being considered quality multi time. I know its only vfr but it has 2 engines and it is all pic/solo time. Also practicing aerobatics in it must make you a better pilot, right?

Quality multi time??? uuh... no.

Looks like you have your MEI... I would just concentrate on getting students and get your time that way. As others have said on this board, it's the QUALITY of your flight time that makes the difference, not necessarily the quantity. I don't see any quality time coming from this "airplane."

I'm not going to pretend I know anything about interview processes, but I agree with the above poster. If the interviewer(s) doesn't know what airplane this is, which they probably won't, then you can probably skate by... but if they knew, I have a feeling you'd be laughed out of the interview in a big hurry.

I'd look for experience elsewhere...

Yeah, but just think of all of the "quality" practice he'd get with engine failure procedures.

Multi time? Yes. Quality time? Questionable. As a chief pilot, I'm not only looking for quantity, I'm looking for quality. Now if that thing has an IFR panel and you can get some actual IFR time in it we can talk.

I understand what your saying, but I don't see any difference between flying the cri cri which is vfr only and flying a vfr Piper Apache. Heck, the cri cri can produce a positive rate of climb on one engine under all but the worst conditions. I have so far never been able to maintain less then a 100 fpm rate of descent in a 150hp Apache.

Did ya see the inflight videos for that thing?? If I hadn't seen it on the ground first I would have thought it was a R/C plane!!!

They'd probably count it if it wasn't the ONLY multi time you had. I would look at a logbook with a variety of airplanes in it and say "well, he/she likes to fly different kinds of airplanes... nothing wrong with that..."

Hell, I might even be able to afford a plane that size. is anyone still building these?
