...for handing the election to Mr Kerry. Once again, THANK YOU!!!!

(AP) - America's unemployment rate remained stuck at 5.6 percent in February as the economy added a paltry 21,000 positions. The latest snapshot of the employment climate released by the Labor Department Friday depicted the painfully slow job growth the country has been enduring. The net gain in payrolls in February fell well short of the 125,000 jobs that economists had been forecasting.:D :D :D :D

Was it Democrats or Republicans that pushed for and got the govt. to extend the Temporary Extended Unemployment Compensation for Airline and Airport Employment Related Workers (TEUCA) for another 26 weeks?

I know of some people that have been getting unemployment bennies since at least May, and they now get another 26 weeks

Do you mean the horrible 5.6% unemployment rate that is lower than the average unemployment rate during the decade of the 90's... The one that is remarkably close to the "full employment rate" of 3.5-4.5% (depending upon who you listen to)?

This hands the election to Kerry HOW, exactly?

I guess you don't want the economy to recover because that really WOULD hand the election to Kerry. Unfortunately for him, and for you I guess, things ARE improving.

I, for one, am pleased about this. Why aren't YOU?

I guess the campaign has already gone negative, ya? :D

Hey, wow, politics. Yawn.

as the economy added a paltry 21,000 positions.

21,000 former white collar workers who now can only get jobs cleaning offices, telemarketing, driving cabs, delivering pizza's, etc.

This is great also, full employment rate but the marginal wage rate has went down. Does wonders for ever thinking that the budget and national debt will be balanced. It's OK, we never really wanted to get messed up in any type of engineering or software developement. That is beneath us. The Indians and Chinese can do it for us. We are moving to a service economy remember? Pretty soon no excutives will need to wipe their own a** because their "contract" will stipulate a personal CNA.

With all due respect to my fellow liberals (I'm a Centrist-Liberal :D ) ... we can blame Mr. Clinton for getting that ball rolling ... NAFTA. Granted, Mr. Bush ain't helping any.

Revoke NAFTA, GATT, and FTTA!

Freddie- Go out and get your own f*ckin job. It is not the biz of govt to provide you work. The less govt does the better! There would be more work if their was less liberalism!!

How do liberals handle their hypocracy?
By spelling it correctly.

Like WIL said, if you need a job go out and find one. One of the problems with this country, IMHO, is that everyone sits around and waits for someone else to come along and fix everything for them. If you don't like your present job, go get a different one. If you don't have a job, go get one. You may have to do something that you don't like but at least you will be going in the right direction. One of the great things about this country is that if you have the want to, you can still go out and make something out of yourself. I don't agree with everything Bush has done, but I for one am not ready to see Mr. Kerry and his liberal cronies start giving away all my hard earned tax dollars. I really don't mind paying taxes if the money is used in the right way. What I don't like is having to pay to support someone else's family just because they can't get up off the couch and earn a living. I just got back from my accountant and lets just say that I am paying my fair share this year.

Isn't it in the Constitution that the President is in charge of making sure all the pathetic people who don't take responsibility for themselves have a job?

I think the forefathers designed the executive branch of government so that whiny kids like Freddie would be handed a job that he deems appropriate without having to do any work or to look to find it.

Sadly, I think too many people think this way, instead of having the attitude of "what can I do to bring so much value to someone or an organization that they find me indispensable." I know the kind of people I hire and pay big salaries to have that attitude.

I do not hire whiny children like Freddie. Unless I need a floor swept or the trash taken out and can watch them to make sure it is done right.

The "Creditability" raise is On!

Tax cuts or deficit job growth due to exporting?

Whoops, Smirky, twirpy Bush was too involved with foreign politics. Now how am I going to pay for this in 2 Qtrs? Not to mention that as a problem, but I have states on the brink of bankrupcy? I was told that that was only applied to individual citizens; Jane & John Doe taxpayer.

Whoops, again.... I good have had a Spicy V-8 with vodka and stayed in Texas and been safe. Foul!

VOTE PEROT 2004!!

America's unemployment rate remained stuck at 5.6 percent in February

This is almost exactly what the unemployment rate was when Bill Clinton was running for his second term.

Freddie, you need to move off the economy and pick another issue.....W's ahead on this one.
