The F27 is a dying breed. There are 5 routes now shrinking to 2 in the next
few months. Expect the Van or ATR. If you get the van as an option, TAKE IT.
You'll get into the ATR soon enough, and at higher pay.

Nope. Used to, but that was in the good ol days (about 3 months before I showed up, apparently!)

Overall, MAC's a good company, provided you don't get one of the schitty runs, like LCK. One week, it was LCK-CRW-LCK; out at 1830, back by 2330. Full weekend. Next week- show at 1730, fly LCK-CRW-LCK, wait 3 hours, fly LCK-IND-LCK, back by 8am next day. Have to work that Sunday, but get Monday off. Circadian rythm? Kiss it good bye!

I wish I could go to LCK, at least I'll be in the ATR. LCK is better than MIA anytime of the year except winter....

A warm steaming pile of dung is better than MIA... (heck, even a cold pile, now that I think of it...) but after 8 months in LCK, I was ready to put a bullet in my brain. That run was the run from hell, especially if you were based with the airplane. The floaters had it good, though.

There was a program, years back, where if you worked for any of the feeders and also worked at FedEX for 1 year (throwing boxes, for example) you were automatically granted an interview at the 1 year mark. We had one guy throw boxes for 51 weeks- 1 week before his anniversary, FedEX pulled the plug on that program, and they refused to consider him. He went to UPS.
