Suppose you've just won this contest...your prize is six weeks of free ground and flight training in one of the airliners listed above. You can only choose one. There's no jeopardy: the ground school is simple, and ther's no oral or checkride. Which one of the six airliners listed above...each at a different level of size and complexity...do you think would be the most fun to fly?

(If you're already rated in one or more of these, you have to pick something else.)

Helicopters for me...
Nope. You have to win a different contest for that.

Don't change the subject! :D

Since I already fly one of them full time I had to go with a classic, put me down for the Tri-Motor. Can I fly the scene where Indiana Jones gets chucked out the door over the Himalayas ?

Give me the 707.... I always wanted to do a roll in one but since I am not multi rated, could I make this a multi check ride? Please?:D ;) :D

:D Sure, you can chuck Harrison Ford anywhere you want!

i voted for the DC-3 because taildraggers and round engines are awesome, and i hear the tri-motor's controls are very stiff

I picked the "connie", but since I'm not that lucky, I just want to hang out a by the airstair of that Tri-Star when you guys are getting your flight time in...or the back door of Mr. Douglas, or the back door of the Ford Tri-motor, or the...

I picked the Tri-peg... as far as i know on the list of planes... its the only one that has an elevator on board... plus that is the plane that got me into flying... long story short... captains last flight.. let me open the emergency hatch (at the gate), and push the annunc. lights and listen to the bells and whistles.. And yes.. they go wooo wooo:)

No question, the Connie is the type rating I'd want most. The sexiest airliner ever built.

But since this is fantasy, a month with Ernie Gann in a DC-3 would be impossible to turn down!

*sigh*

Why so many votes for the '3? It's a fine airplane, certainly, but I thought the Connie and/or the 707 would have sparked the most interest with this bunch! (I myself voted Constellation...man, that would be fantastic!)
