I was curious if any of you guys commited Morse code to memory? With the little space remaining in my brain, I didn't know if I would be wasting my time memorizing it. Any thoughts?

Had a student once that could read off morse faster than I can talk, but he was a ham radio operator. I barely can decifer it when looking at the map

Former Technician Plus ham N7FJF, so yeah, memorized. It's hard to slow down to the FAA's 3wpm. :)

More power to you if you can memorize it.

I can't and won't. I have enough useless information for Jeopardy already. Full brain, fulj brains. Fulsa brauins. Flulll bvbbbraiiiiinssz.

I stayed up half the night listing to morse practice mp3s and it is actually easier than you'd think to memorize (yes, my wife called me a freak'n nerd this morning).

I am using this chart to help. http://www.learnmorsecode.com/

What do you HAM guys feel is the quickest way to make it "stick".
