How many pilots flying corporate have only a high school diploma? I have about 60 credits through embry riddle online, should I mention this on my resume?

Me.

I have about 105 college credits. Currently working on the rest throught the ERAU online program. On the education section on my resume, I have:

Education: ERAU. Currentlly enrolled in distance learning classes.

It isn't doing me any favors. I was lucky to get the job I did. I've gotta get this done...it's killing me. Knock it out as fast as you possibly can.

Finish your degree. This industry is hard enough without going into it with one hand already tied behind your back.

The vast majority of corp guys have degrees - just like airline guys.

YES, I would list the fact that you are currently enrolled!! but I would really press hard to GET some kind of degree. The "currently enrolled" thing is better than nothing - but not by much....

Put it this way, of the 500 resumes lying there, do you want to be part of the 20 or 30 that dont have the basic degree requirements checked off??

NO, you dont. Its a tough enough fight out there today - arm yourself properly.

Good Luck!

Get the degree... The Corporate Pilots whom you might meet that don't have a degree are all the old-timers who have been in the industry for over 25 years... back then a degree wasn't very common... things have changed dramatically!

I have to agree with Falcon Capt... get the degree. I'm one of the old timers that doesn't have one. I'm lucky to be with a company that is great to work for, and will be around years after I retire. However, I wish I had something to back me up if I lose my medical before that time comes.
Not to mention that after spending twenty years waiting on paxs to show I'm starting to think that I would like to try something outside aviation. Without a degree there is nothing out there where I can make half of what I make now. Good Luck.

Thanks for all the input. Don't worry I plan on completing my studies. I was just curious on how many guys out there flying corporate jets didnt have a college education. Also how to word this info on my resume'.
