In a more recent example of management bungling, the upper management at FLOPS thought they had uncovered a clandestine conspiracy to create an illegal job action, in the form of an orchestrated slowdown during the Thanksgiving holiday period. Good grief, our pilots can’t even get together on sending in the dues they voted for, much less participate in anything creative.

In any case our CEO authorized $10,000,000 worth of prepaid charter to thwart the actions of these renegade pilots. As it turned out, we had crews and planes parked at FBOs, watching those non-refundable charters doing our work for us, while we sat and laughed about our idiotic Alfred E. Neuman look-alike.

With egg plastered on his face, our CEO was determined to shift the blame for his ineptness to an expendable scape-goat. He was able to illegally obtain a post from the Union message board that contained an out of context reference to the non-existent slow-down that he had imagined.

The author of the post was called to Cleveland, subjected to a kangaroo court, and fired.

It appears that the executive clown has finally over-estimated the gullibility and selfishness of the pilot masses and may have actually turned the tide in favor of the union.

What an imbecile.

The truly asinine aspect of this management blunder is that they singled out this one lowly pilots and laid the responsibility for the phantom slow down on him. He must have been an incredibly powerful, influential man to have been able to organize this threatened slow down all by his self.

I would love to be present when Sheeringa is called on the carpet to answer for for pissing 10 mill down the crapper. I can hear it now. :laugh:

"Mr. Swanson, this mean old pilot did this on purpose, he made me do it. He had a whole paragraph in a post on that nasty Union message board that Ford & Harrison said was going to shut the company down. We even had our Ford & Harrison lawyer threaten the union and the union leadership because of what this mean old pilot said.

You know Mr. Swanson if you will just let me fire all of those nasty old pilots it will solve all of our problems. We don't need them anyway. After we get rid of them we can get rid of all those junky old airplanes we won't need them anymore. With out airplanes we wont need maintenance people, we can get rid of them. Now we will just be finding charter for our owners so we only need a few people for that, we can shut down OCC and it will just be all of us real smart management types left to arrange charters for those stupid demanding owners.

See what a great CEO I am. Now I'm ready to help another aviation company that does not know what they are doing."

It wasn't even a paragraph. It was a couple of ambigous sentences that referred to "the holiday season" being something that will be looked back on as being something significant.

I didn't get it when he wrote it. But I can see how an embarrassed assinine incompetent would jump all over that ******************** and instruct his minions to weed out the rebels and fire them so he can show the people he answers to what he did to "fix the problem."
 
Flt Opts management is using privilaged internal union communications to fire pilots?????:confused:

If I recall there was a warning before you signd on about the "Wire Tap act" and something about secure communications.

I smell a lawsuit coming on against the company and the individual pilot who passed on the info. In a sworn deposition everyone will tell the truth and in the end the mole will be exposed for all to see.

One question is if you are convicted of a Wire Tap or the Stored Communications Act crime is that a felony? If you are a convicted felon are you able to pass the Homeland security clearance to fly part 135? Anyone with legal knowledge have any answers?



If I was the pilot fired I would consider a civil lawsiut against the company mole on the union board.

This should get interesting.

The reality of the situation is if the company were sued to find out who the mole is, all they have to say is they don't know who the pilots was. It was drooped off in a envelope with no unedifying information. In other words they can't tell what that they don't know.:confused:

Our best chance of finding who these pilots are is from every one of us keeping our eyes and ears open. Sooner or later we will find out who they are.:angryfire

This site, www.flightinfo.com, is an anonymous site where aliases are used.

www.asapflightdeck.com will take you to the IBT1108 board, which is a private site and real names are used.

The information that was used to fire the pilot was taken from the IBT1108 board, by management and with the assistance of a company rat who was a member of that board.

Cahones abound on the union board and support is growing daily. It's just a matter of time until Sean Michael will be riding his golden parachute to some other gullible and unsuspecting company.

Guys I did 7.5 years with Flops. Call it what you want but I have closely followed the health of the company very closely from the good ole Ricci days until the current $hitringa buffoonery. If this sounds like you : " Hey I will ride this until the end afterall I am sitting in the left seat of my hawker making $68,000 per year and Net Jets got their contract and we will two" or " I know I have been in the rt seat for 5 years but with things in the crapper here lots of guys are leaving and I will be able to move up rapidly when we get our contract"

If either of those statements represent your mindset I highly suggest you take every penny you have the next time you are in LAS walk over to the hard rock and throw it all down on the roulette table because your chances are better.

Raytheon is selling the Biz jet division, Flops has been losing millions and millions regardless of their continuous cost cutting measures, The big jets or a large majority of them have been sold leaving that craphole legacy that the high rollers hate because they think it is a glorified commuter, Your benefits are going through the roof, MX bases are being shut down, and they have a so called surplus of employees.

Wake up guys this company is not viable for a buy out by anyone.. The ONLY thing of value is the Aircraft and once the deal is closed with Raytheon for their aircraft division and their is no fear of bad blood with perspective customers that got hosed the board of directors will exercise their clause in the contract to buy out the customers take a one time loss and close the doors..

I truly hope you are smart enough to get plan B into action asap as Scheeringa is not making short term decisions for the long term viability of Flops

Unity with your IBT brothers are not going to save this sinking ship unfortunately

I went with plan B as soon as netjets signed their contract and got the hell out for far greener pastures and the different tie. Why there are any first officers still working there when they could have beat feet is beyond me.

Not to be a smart ass Turbo, that is very nobal and all that, however not very realistic. If I was you I would listen to clickclickboom and at least devolop a plan B. You sound a lot like a guy who I spoke with earlier in the month. No matter what my partner and I said to him, we couldn't get him to look at other options with regard to employment.

If you don't do something you may be living like a Boy Scout, that is in a tent, if FLOPS goes down hard. It never hurt to have options open, I'm sure you have plenty of friends that would help you also.
 
The difference is that Mother will kill it's last child to stop a Union. When we were seperate companies we were both cash cows. However Mother Raytheon kept hiring idiots to kill off our company.

Looks like they are accelerating the pace, giving the continuing insanity and stupididity practiced by our CEO & DO.

What a shame. I think I'll offer Mother .05 for the whole shebang and see if she bites!
 
Doom and Gloom? We STILL are a Cash Cow!

Think about this:

When someone buys an Airplane Share, they are paying their share cost, whether it be 1/16th, 1/4, or somewhere in between at Full Retail Price!

Can you imagine the Profits at your local Car Lot if everyone paid Sticker? That is what's happening at Flight Options.

Then, the Owners sign a 5 to 7 year Contract to cover all the Fixed Costs of Operating the Jet over 5 to 7 years, even if it never moves an inch.

Should said Owner wish to actually use their Share, they are then hit up with an Hourly Fee to cover costs such as Fuel, Deice, Ground Services, etc, all be it at an inflated rate.

What a Racket!

Why do they pay these insane costs to fly Privately? The Fractional's Safety Record. To date, an Owner has yet to be killed by one of the Big 4 Fractional Providers. Compare that to the Charter Fatal Crashes making the News left and right.

If an Owner wants the Safety of Corporate Flying, but cannot justify the cost of owning the airplane outright, Fractional is his only option.

So do I see the doors closing because of a sale of Raytheon Aircraft? I do not. We are still a Cash Cow. But the risk I do see is that if we continue to let Scheeriga degrade our Quality of Life down to the Commuter level, with the dynamic flying environment we operate in, eventually, something is going to give, a Crew will make a terrible mistake, and the first Owner Fatality at the Fractionals will be at Flight Options. That is more of a threat to our existence than anything else.

We need to come together as a Pilot Group, stand up to Scheeringa, and send him packing. If we don't, the Day I spoke of will be lurking closer and closer. Scheeringa is the threat to our existence, not a Liquidation.

Keep that in mind the next time you consider doing the Company a Favor by looking the other way. Scheeringa's job performance is based upon him hitting the numbers given to him by the Board. If he does not, he is History.

Somebody is making sense........sounds like a logical pilot always having a way out. The bottom of Flops senority has had plenty of warning about the possibility of losing their jobs and still they stay for hopefully a very good reason. I know flops likes to hire guys with little to no experience or guys without a degree or guys with violations or dwi's. Hopefully the union will have a contract before the place goes belly up but that is a longshot. Take your type ratings and run to Columbus and work for a company with a real future.

You are exactly what $hitringa uses to giggle himself to bed at night.. He says to himself: " Look at all these tools talking about fighting the noble battle with me while i line my pockets in preparation for my goldenparachute" You dont even know it but you already lost the battle.

Personally I won I extended my middle finger in salute and went to a company that apopreciates my contributions.

Wake up my man they dont like unemployed pilots bringing their kids to the soup kitchen
