We're looking at moving all of our cockpit resource information on to a Palm Pilot (ultranav, accukwik, co-pilot, or anything else we deem useful...)

If we're going to put all of this stuff on to a Palm Pilot should we expect any difficulties with this??? What's the recommended model of Palm Pilot should we be looking at.

Also, about Co-pilot, does it have a waypoint database for IFR flight planning?? I'd like to have the ability to enter an entire flight plan to calculate distance, fuel burn, ETE, etc... Will Co-Pilot do this for us??? Is there any other application that would accomplish this? If someone else is out there that has gone down this road please help

Thanks in advance, feel free to PM....

Sounds like a good idea, but you must be patient! I have found while doable getting things started can be frustrating.
I would suggest a palm with wireless capabilities and memory expandability. The i705 would do the trick and it is pretty cheap right now too. While the i705 is capable the Tungsten T is the sexy new model. The Tungsten, aka TT, has a color screen and a new operating system which is sleeker than what you get with the i705. To operate wirelessly with the TT you would have to get a bluetooth equipped cellphone and have a cell carrier who does decent deals on the GPRS service. The i705 on the other hand has a built in ant.
I recently went from the i705 to the TT. When I had the i705 I used a program called Weatherclip. Basically it provided a way to access DUATS through your Palm much faster than loading DUATS through a web browser. I was able to get all the weather I would need and file while driving to the airport in the car, dangerous I know but made things easier when it was a last minute ASAP. Now that I have the TT I can't run the Weatherclip program and I miss it tremendously. It only costs 9.95/mos which is crazy 'cause I would have happily paid more.
To accomplish the same task with the TT takes a while longer as you actually use your browser function and go to duats.com. However, I enjoy the ability to go to other websites and have full color, it saves carrying the **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** laptop!
With regard to an acukwik, look out for a company called cavu, I as well as others have been greatly disappointed by their acukwik for palm crap. It is really not worth the money imho. I have not found a decent FBO listing yet. AOPA is ok if they would make it so you can load the whole database onto a memory card, as it is right now you can only load it onto the Palms memory and if you tried putting the whole country on there you would run out of room quick! I talked to them a while ago and they told me they were working on it!
Anywho, good luck and let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. In the meantime if you have not already check out http://discussion.brighthand.com/palmhandhelds/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=3
