A man has enough money to go out and buy a brand new turbine large aircraft. He has access to a couple of professional airline guys to fly it, which he uses when it fits his plans. He also has access to several people who have a whole bunch of experience in....seneca's and 172's. They fly a couple of times a month. The owner doesn't see a difference between the two and thinks they are both just as safe...WTFO!!!!
How can people be this F&#$ED up?
I want to go when I want to go strikes again.

Waiting to read another accident report.

I'll assume that the GA guys have gone to school on the airplane.

I believe he's saying that the owner is afflicted with "I want to go when I want to go" and it struck again. Seems like the owners desire to fly somewhere immediately, struck again, where the less experienced crew (but available at the moment) flies the plane instead of the airline guys, who presumably aren't available.

Do I get a cookie?

Anyone that says a Falcon is uncomfortable has never been crammed in a Lear!

Define large turbine aircraft.

Is it possible that disgruntled airline crew truly has no idea what the other crews qualifications / experience is? If this is really a "Large" turbine aircraft, I am sure they had to go to school and meet insurance requirements.

My next question is why is the airline crew so worried about this, and I wonder what their airlines policy on flying on the side is.

Not enough information given to reach an opinion.

It is possible that the owner wanted to travel on his schedule and not the airline pilots schedule?

If you don"t know the definition of a large turbine aircraft, get out of aviation. I was airline for several years, went back to corporate for a better job and QOL. You assume much thinking it was an airline crew. The professional pilots I am talking about are all corporate or charter pilots. Do you actually believe that by going to school you become a safe pilot? There are people out there who have been to school twice a year for the last thirity years who are not safe!

The people I am talking about have never worked as a charter, corporate, or airline pilot. They have a bunch of money, an see flying as a hobby. Also, the time difference I am talking about is 6 hours. You can make that call.

So instead of trying to blame it on an airline guy, maybe you should be looking over your back. When these VLJs and single pilots jets start being flown by these people with more money than brains, they might just replace that Hawker with one!

Actually yes. Thats why safe and professional pilots go to school twice a year and bone up on systems during the time off.

Also, the time difference I am talking about is 6 hours. You can make that call.
I guess the passengers made the call. If that 6 hourse ment the close of a multi million dollar deal that kept the plane around for a few more months well..... It also depends was the 6 hours because of duty rest issues or because the pilots were at home and had other things to do.

Yeah those eclipses are really blocking out the sun. Whew I'm watching over my back. Maybe someone should have been watching over the owners back.

Wrong on all points Diesel.
School does not make you safe.
It was vacation, that is why it is called the Hebrew Highway.
If you didn't know, the Embraer 300 does 440kts and 1800nm. Not you in your big GIV, but it does compete with citations, lears, and beechjets.

I am very aware of what the definition is. That was my way of trying to get you to say what kind of plane it is. Judging by your questions on another thread, It is possibly a King Air 200.

I suggest you read your own post. It was you who said it was airline guys (like that was going to impress me) not me. As far as school, maybe....maybe not. I transitioned straight from a Barron to single pilot in a King Air with no problems.

Also, I have flown with all of the above. Flown with charter / corporate airline guys who were horrible. Best guy I ever flew with had 1800TT when I hired him.

Have you flown with them? I still am not convinced that you are qualified to assess their abilities.

Yes 6 hours is a huge deal on a busy individuals schedule. You see....its not about you. That is why he bought his own plane.

So instead of trying to blame it on an airline guy, maybe you should be looking over your back. When these VLJs and single pilots jets start being flown by these people with more money than brains, they might just replace that Hawker with one!

Single pilot owner operator flown jets and turbo props have been here since the late 70's. Late 60's if you count the 90.

I did not blame anybody. I asked some questions and you went in to attack mode.

Face it, you did not get the job. Move on. Your jealousy is not attractive. Your bitterness and superiority complex will make it hard for you to find work.

Um, yes going to school is how you become a safe pilot.
And the second part of this makes no sense, if someone has been flying professionally for 30 years and is still alive I would think that they must be a pretty safe pilot.

Nope I didn't know nor do I care. Last time I checked we were talking about a large turboprop. I'm guessing a king air. 200 because a type is required in anything bigger.

It was vacation, that is why it is called the Hebrew Highway.
Vacation, buisness meeting, who cares? He wanted to go you had an excuse, he went. Guess what he writes the checks, he does what he wants. Its also called the LOX1.Arrival. with the oyvey transition.

School does not make you safe.
Wrong again, if it made you less safe the insurance companies and everyone else wouldn't require it.

Wrong on all points Diesel.
Nope and I'm not wrong your bitter.

Get over it. I am starting to see why the guy took some other pilot. Maybe his 6 hours earlier was so he could have an excuse to fly with someone who he got along better in the cockpit? Hmmmm

Yeah those eclipses are really blocking out the sun...

...then we shall fight in the shade!
