Maintain an FAA Class II Pilot Medical and FAA Commercial Pilot’s License (both helicopter and airplane).
The knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the duties of this position are usually acquired through graduation from an approved FAA or military flight school and 1-2 years experience as a pilot in command-2,000 hours; night flying- 100 hours; low altitude (below 500 feet)- 200 hours; cross country- 200 hours; mountainous terrain- 200 hours; multi-engine-250 hours; actual instrument time-75 hours minimum; and 100 hours of flying within the last 12 months. Minimum acceptable fixed wing experience 1,000 hours. Minimum acceptable helicopter experience 1,000 hours (turbine time preferred).

Yep! rookies need not apply, I'm sure some military types could check that box though!!

They require 1,000 hours of helicopter time.....just about anybody with 1,000 hours of helicopter can check that "200 hours below 500 feet" box.
 
Additional Salary Info:Additional salary information: typically, successful applicants are hired between entry and market depending on qualifications, internal equity, the labor market (supply & demand), and the program's ability to pay. Market is $42,025.

Forty two grand for a dual rated pilot with experience doing this job? The high end of their pay scale at fifty grand is still too low for the position. Median pay for this position should be approximately 65,000. Don't touch it.
