Just wondering if anyone knows of any good opportunities in the Milwaukee area. I have been instructing for nearly two years now, but just can't pay the bills anymore, and am going to have to get a non flying job. I have 1000/200 in the logbook, and nearly 3 years in managment. BS in Aviation (wish i could take that one back). Just curious if anyone has any good ideas for me, Im pretty confused on what to do, all I ever wanted to do was fly, but I know that I can't afford a pay cut, or the quality of life at the regionals right now. I plan on moving to the area around June, so any suggestions would be great. Good luck to all of you still fighting the good fight.

Oh, and one more question...Is milwaukee's best really milwaukee's best?

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but have you applied to Skyway? I hear they like locals.... Mabye you should just stop by HR and hand them a resume.

Just a thought....good luck!

I know that Timmerman field does alot of flight training. Don't know the pay or anything but from what I have heard, they do alot of the Milwaukee basic training and alot of the corprate people are based there. I can try to dig up a few phone numbers if you are interested.

yeah, ive given the chief pilot and director of ops of skyway my resume. My roomate had the same connections and just got the job. Im guessing the only reason I didnt get an interview was my total time, i know they want atp mins, and Im just shy of 1000 right now. I would love to stay out here in D.C. and instruct over the summer since im so close to making it, but I am litteraly out of money, and don't know where the next rent check is coming from. Thanks for the advice, I plan on continuing to send in my resume, but Im also interviewing for jobs on the ground.

I thought they were at 1200/200 there. Plus Im not sure I'd be able to afford it. One of the reasons Im moving to MKE is that I have a bunch of friends there and can cut cost that way. I really dont want to commute, and I know I cant afford a place in another city. Plus it would be great to spend time with the people I care about. One things for sure, anything will be better than having 7 people in a 4 bedroom townhome like I do now. I have been sharing a room for over a year now. How old is too old to have a bunk bed?

jedicheese,

any help would be great. I have called a lot of people in the area, but nothing is really panning out to much yet, and I met with the chief pilot at spring city aviation in waukesha
Thanks for the help!

Maybe you can start checking around Signiture at night and talking to the frieght dogs?

With 1200TT, check out Freight Runners Express. Also UES, and MWC both have flight schools. And Milwaukee's Best doesn't even scratch the surface. When you're there, try one of these.

It may not be the best, it may not be the worst, but by golly if you're looking for something to get you drunk enough to piss in your friends bedroom, you've got the right stuff.

AMEN

Amen to that..........

or drunk enough to have the cops on you called for a noise complaint during a fu@K!NG HURICANE.

You might try getting a job working on the ramp at MKE. Go to airwis.com, click on careers and then open positions. There are a few MKE positions open now. Alot of airlines fly into MKE, it might not be a flying job, but it is aviation, and it will help with the bills. It might also be a way to get your foot in the door.
