Also, I know SkyWest has at least one generic livery outfitted with ovens for the cookies, there may be two. If that is the case, those one or two aircraft can be used for Delta or United lines.

Which airplane(s)? ASAIK, none of the non-Connect airplanes have cookie ovens.

Down to 11 airplanes by October. They have been re-negotiating the Skyw deal for a week now and this is the result. Not sure if its been put out yet in the form of a news release but I heard it yesterday in MKE, (and not in the bathroom either).

The contract is for 15 aircraft, with the option of up to 10 more. Currently running 21. Take two away and that makes 19. Still 4 more than the minimum on the contract.

Are you under the impression that Midwest is going to be able to avoid bankruptcy?

I just cannot see how Midwest could not reduce Skywest when they are asking their own pilots for 50% paycuts etc. A 50 seat RJ feeding reduced lift (MD-80's) just does not sound like a good plan.

I understand the concern at Skywest and it is legit but really an airline with 21 RJ's and 25 717's. I cannot see that working. I have respect for both airlines and hope it all works out.

At my own airline (AWAC) I know Airways would love to get rid of us. Oil at $144 today the 50seater is numbered. I will keep that in mind as I fly a 2:30 block leg with 12 people on board :(

Ok, sorry, I had it wrong. We used a generic to run a Midwest route. It had no ovens. That explains it.

When did a generic fly anything on the Connect side? One morning there was a generic in COS and we were short a Connect plane. It didn't go because because it did not have the oven. I'm surprised the complaints didn't go all the way to TH.

Have you heard if they are going to displace people out of the base or just start flowing thru the United system?

It was just for a round trip, might have been two. Should have been the UA ORD spare. Why it was in MKE, no clue. Ferried it to ORD later that day and back into the UA system.

418 was here for 3 weeks while 417 was in CKB for some work.
