Midwest Exp. Furloughs?

Anyone heard anything about more pilot furloughs at MedEx??

I read an article where they are planning to start a low cost airline and close their Kansas City res center. If I can find the link, I will edit this message and post it.

Just talked to a friend from there yesterday and he said that 70 additional pilots would furloughed due to the change in focus. He also said that the furloughs would go up to seniority number 260, and he was number 270, hence his interest in ATA. This relates to about three years of seniority.

The remaining MD-80's would be modified to a standard 130 seat 2x3 configuration (the same as Vanguard had) and used in the LCC. The 717's would stay with the first class set up, but without meals for the meantime.
