Sorry to ask vauge questions but any one care to comment on working here? hiring? pay/hotel in training?

I live in Chicago and would consider them....

Thanks in advance

Life is not bad at all. The basics:

41.40 starting second yr 58 I think.
12 days off min line holder, 11 reserves
10hr reserve shifts, 24hr long call
lines and trips are very diverse and it is easy to trade/drop whenever (although there is nothing to trade with right now)
full pay in training, and it is a very low stress event

I am happy here. Growth will not happen for a while so if your looking for a cont style upgrade I would look elsewhere. TPG thing will finalize in Jan or Feb. Maybe we will get some word about the future in the spring.

is it a 2 hour call out on rsv? could it be done from the Chicago area without a crash pad?

what type of flight benefits for family and friends?

thanks again

2 hr callout on short call.

12 hr callout on long call.

they can shift two of your long call shifts to short call during the month per the contract.

from our contract

The Company may change an RLC to an RSC or an RSC to an RLC for a day or block of days of reserve up to two (2) times per month.

Is Midwest currently hiring? Also how close do they stick to the PIC requirement?

Thanks

i would say it depends on the level of candidates they have. i would say still the number one thing they look at is internal references and they love locals (cheeseheads and chicagoans). once you get the interview the job is yours to lose.

they are currently hiring for classes in january, february, and march. they are telling people they expect to hire 25 people for next year and they only have 9 people in the hiring pool.
