I have never heard of anybody paying for anything that becomes broken or inoperative at Flight Express, I have heard of other companies that try this scam. The maintenance at Flight Express is excellent in my opinion.

I've never heard of paying for anything, however I know a guy that consistantly flatspots tires. IF he had to PAY for one, maybe he would be a little easier on the brakes!

Hey Pro--where are you based? I'm in Nashville.

I left there 5 years ago, things change. I was based in PFN, FXE, and CRG. The maintainence was always good, however JK would try and take some costs out on the backs of the pilots.

I hear they have made improvements in $ since then. We didn't get paid until we were on line, one of the guys in my class got a run that paid 25.10 per day, ouch.

Now it's $10/hour based on the duty day. The minimum is $75/day. If your day is up to 7.5 hours, you get $75. The max duty day is 14 hours so that one's $140. Those are few and far between though. There are several 10, 11, 12 hour duty day runs out there.

I am based in Tampa, but have spent my time at CPS, CRG, ORL and now finally TPA. I have one of the elusive 14 hr days, but have also had my share of the 5 hour days as well, overall I think it is a great company with very fair compensation and benefits. But I have heard that the old pay scale was terrible. Things are better now.
