Miami Center??

Ok I am a flight instructor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and was just offered Miami Center. I am seriously considering in making the switch to the ATC side and was wondering if anybody (preferably with the miami area) could give me some advice on the area and how you like it and maybe some pay scales. Thanks for the help.

Go talk to ERAU ATC Professor Marty Lauth. Both his kids started at Miami Center last year. He can probably give you their phone #'s and you can get the intel right from the horses mouth!

As for the pat scales, look for a thread under the ATC section entitled ATC Benefits. I have posted a rather long post in that thread which gives links to the pay scales and explains how you get your raises.

BTW, Marty Lauth is a recently retired (last year) ATC supervisor from Sanford Tower, and his kids are third generation ATCers.
