I have posted a similar question in early December. Now I need more information. I received two quotes from both Universal & Jeppesen, which seemed quite pricey. I contacted a Company called ICCS (International Corporate & Cargo Services). There quote is about half price. So now for my questions:

1. Has anyone used ICCS?

2. Are they the same people the big three hire?

3. Has anyone ever applied for or received a single over-fight permit (for the return to the US and cleared customs at there home airport). We are part 91.

4. Any one know of a checklist for a trip like this (ie: permits, fee’s other have to do items)?

5. Has anybody been to Los Mochis? Any thing good for a couple of pilots to do?

6. Any recommendation on Hotels or Restaurants?

7. Any thing we need to watch out for (other than the water)?

This is our first trip Internationally and we want to do a good job at a reasonable price. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!!

1.Has anyone used ICCS?
Yes, they do a good job.

2. Are they the same people the big three hire?
Generally, yes the handler you meet at the airport is often the same guy no matter what company you use.

3. Has anyone ever applied for or received a single over-fight permit (for the return to the US and cleared customs at there home airport). We are part 91.
Looked into it, yes though we’ve never gotten one at this company. I can’t remember the specifics but there are some criteria you have to meet and that was not practical for us.

4. Any one know of a checklist for a trip like this (i.e.: permits, fee’s other have to do items)?
1. Even if you’re using a handler bring a couple hundred in small bills “just in case”.
2. Make sure your Uvair card is current; sometimes it’s easier to just pay for the fuel directly to the fuel guys and not through the handler and Uvair is about the only card that is “universally” accepted in Mexico.
3. Your going in a Citation, bring your own prist (it’s rather hard to find down south).

5. Has anybody been to Los Mochis? Any thing good for a couple of pilots to do?
Yes, been a few years though. Basically you’re going to Ixtapa, just run a search on it.

6. Any recommendation on Hotels or Restaurants?
I can’t remember where we stayed.

7. Any thing we need to watch out for (other than the water)?
Try and get your Mexico and US customs papers before you go, your handler can usually mail these to you, it just speeds things along for your principles.

Thanks for the good advice!

Thanks 501261 I appreciate the help. After the trip I will post what we learn!

Thanks again
