"Not one dime" even if it includes snapbacks as the airframes come back? Let's be reasonable here. The company is in bankruptcy. Even though you and I both know that it's a sham bankruptcy, it's still bankruptcy and we can't expect them to come away with zero concessions.

You remember those words when you start bitching because uncle "Phil" did the same to you here at PCL. You remember about the "Snap Backs" argument when to be able to sustain your current salary, you will have to upgrade in equipment.(Oh, I forgot that you are too junior, you won't be able to hold it, never mind) And remember those words when you start receiving a 15% paycut from your actual "less than average" salary to recover from a shamed bankruptcy of an airline that has being profitable through it all (PCL that is) because if there is something that the Red Tail does very well is learn from experience, and remember that the same way money was transferred to Mair Holdings, money can be transferred to PCL Holdings. Remember your argument in the near future because we are next. But if you forget, don't worry. I'll remind you

I have said it before. You folks at MSA have put up a tough fight, and I am proud to support you and call you my colleagues. It is now to each individual, nobody else matters. Read it with your loved ones and determine if you can or cannot live with it. Whatever end up happening, you will still have my support.

People on the outside seem to forget that this isn't section 6 negotiations. XJ isn't lowering the "bar", as their backs are against the wall. They gotta do whats best for themselves and their families, not what some internet/FI tough guy think is best for the industry. Most of the people here don't know what its like to have gun, like this, put to their heads. The consensual agreement that the NC reached will probably be a better alternative (though not ideal) than having a truely ********************ty contract rammed up their A$$.

Good luck XJ'ers from a former (furloughed) XJ'er

Another Mesa? Not likely.

The stated goals of the MSA MEC and Negotiating Committee:

Maintain industry standards through wage recapture through a reasonable amount of time, and number of aircraft, if delivered.

Do not undercut the industry

Preserve work rules, such as Minimum Day (4hrs), 11 days off, trip guarantee, and sick pay/ short-term disability, which are some of the best in the industry. These are on top of a superior 401k retirement plan.

Achieve a pay-back, or claim, upon reorganization equal to that received by the other unsecured creditors. I hear that this could be a SUBSTANTIAL amout of money.

These goals were likely achieved, or there would be NO TA. The mec told the company "we are through, until you are ready to accomodate us".
Did the greedy basta*** impose? They folded.
Granted, alpa gave a lot early in the process, which did not achieve a deal, and the company proved itself again unwilling to cut it's own throat.

The TA will be out tonight; all can judge for themselves.
Those who vote either way cannot be blamed, there are good reasons.
Some will vote "no" to protest the sham bankruptcy and mgmt. greed,
some will vote "yes" to acknowledge other realities.
Good Luck, Mesaba pilots! You deserve better....

Some very good posts actually on this thread. Of course, the usual brave internet stupid posts will never fail to appear. Why don't you guys get in your car and flip other drivers off while you speed away! Your sooooo tough sitting behind your monitor!

Lets see whats in the TA and then throw it to the wolves.

XJ's have put up a very good fight. I hope the TA has some good stuff in it in the way of snapbacks, etc.

Just a reminder though... didn't the NWA FA's vote down the first TA, and then get a slightly better offer?

Turbo

I
have an iPod but I don't wear my flight jacket on my days off. Come to think of it, I learned how to use my iPod from my Son!

The Avro's are gone... meaning (to those who need literal meaning) they are sold and are just waiting for the pilots to ferry them across the pond. They will never be back at Mesaba again. Guaranteed.

Good Luck XJ! Live to fight another day?! That day is now. Cya,

CP

I thought I showed you how to use it?

How the heck are you Mr CP?
