Hello,

I was wondering if someone who is currently working at Mesaba could tell me how many pilots are still there?

I know there was around 950 summer 2005. How many remain today?

Also the terms of the new contract. What regs were lost, how much hourly pay was lost (%). Or if there is a website to see the new contract details, ect.

Thanks for your help.

5% pay cut, and deconsolidation of CDO'a were the only changes to work rules. Rest came from "soft" money, ie multi class bids, hotel buyout, uniforms.

There were 574 pilots as of Nov 27th more have left since or are leaving including both chief pilots in DTW and mulitpule Union Reps. Every thing sucks.

NWA is buying the thing from what I hear. Makes no sense to me yet after they paid millions for Compass. Maybe mainline guys don't want to fly regional jets for what they negotiated to do it for and are hoping you will do it for them.

"Millions" seems a bit strong...wasn't it all of like $2M that they paid for the FlyI Cert?

I thought the plural of million, was millions.

The plural of Hair, Mice, Deer and Lexus all leave me confused.

Hopefully this will not end up with another plurality of seniority lists.

They are having problems finding an experienced pilot group to start compass with that will meet insurance requirements. rumor only.

Just curious if anyone knows where Scott K. is going. He was a heck of a chief pilot...

So if the plural of goose is geese, is the plural of moose, meese?

Scott K. Southwest.

Just curious as to what the monthly out-of-paycheck expense is for the family medical plan. I saw a sheet that had it around $800. PLEASE tell me I read it wrong.

Best of luck XJers!

If that is the case the (I know we are all furloughed) first year FO's will be working for health insurance not money.

The new health coverage sucks rotten @ss. Plenty of meds out there that are not available as generics. The companies stance on the hardship this might cause: "Hey worker drones: Go F*ck Yourselves!"

I hope nobody is still waiting around for a recall there after almost a year since our furloughs. I waited 4 months and had to move on. That health insurance is a killer. I do miss flying with the crews there...awesome people there at XJ. Good times.

Yeah should be interesting how many furloughs actually come back. I can't wait for the phone call. I'm still thinking of something creative to say to them.

Well.... maybe it will be just a simple no.

Or

Maybe the phone will never ring
