I'm going to be jumpseating from MSP to RHI in June. The flight looks full (bought the family regular tickets), what kind of loads can the SAAB take? 30 plus jump a possibility?

Hard to say exactly. Depends a lot on WX. MSP-RHI with no alternate and light on the bags 33 PAX possible. More likely 30ish will be max if ALT required. Typically hit 0 fuel weight limits if bag load gets too high.

I never PLAN on the Saab being more than a 29 passenger airplane when trying to commute. Usually 30 works, sometimes even a couple more if the weather is nice. Unless it's a plane filled with kids we won't ever see all the seats in the back full and a jumpseater.

Used to see 34 plus a jumpseater. But now with the new weights, it's almost impossible to get 34 + jumpseater.

It looks like there are a couple 9E CRJs on that route as well...you may also want to look into the MSP-EAU-RHI flight. I used to do MSP-EAU quite a bit and rarely was it full, and most of the pax got off in EAU.
