So i've been out of the loop about the mergers of delta and northwest. is this still happening or is it still in the talks. if so, what do you guys think would happen to mesaba? i don't want to apply, get hired, go through training, if there not going to be around anymore. please advise!!

Pinnacle will buy Mesaba in 10-12 months after the merger is finalized.

..........oh, I almost forgot, Pinnacle is also buying Comair.

well doesn't that just suck now

hard to say what will happen... either way though you are at the wrong end of this hiring. A year ago you would be in much better shape, now you are at the end of a long line.

i would bet that in any way possible nwa/delta will do its best to remove as many as possible 50 seat aircraft....

What about the flow through? Is that all but dead now and forever?

Well, if that's the only thing that will change then that puts us in pretty great shape-50 seaters are the smallest portion of our fleet (17, which we don't even have all of yet)
