Finally, the company filed for a proffer of arbitration this last week and hopefully the NMB will release us in the next week or so.. this might mean a strike after the first of the year. After our 98% vote to strike last month, it's good to see a pilot group finally saying NO to concessions and taking the high road.

Thanks to all you guys out there flying the line for your support of the Mesaba pilots. . It might be a long winter, but a much needed vacation.

Hopefully this will poke managment in the arse and get things moving for you guys. You have my full support, and are welcome to any assessment needed, go get em boys!

I wish you all well....unlike the SOBs that stabbed us in the back when we were trying to raise the bar for good wages.

I'll bring out the check book if/when you strike.

Thanks for your support all. I have a sick feeling that we're going to hear about the demise of the Avro on Dec. 15, just as we're beginning our 30 day period. This could be a long strike, but I truly believe we're going to hold out for something excellent. I hope we continue to set an example of an informed and unified pilot group.
Thanks especially to our ALPA brothers and sisters who will be making this job action possible. Without you, we couldn't pull it off.

Just out of curiosity... why do you think this? There seems to be alot of people that think NWA is bluffing.

Regardless, good luck to all XJ guys.

The writting has been on the wall for the demise of the avros since we got em. We are missing 16 seats due to scope. I don't care how much cheaper the crew costs are compared to mainline... 16 seats is a ton of lost revenue. I bet 3-4 seats could make up for the higher mainline crew and maintenance costs. The rest of the seats would be gravy. The avro with 69 seats has never made sense for anyone to fly.

I'll be shocked if they stay. I really don't think that this is a negotiating tactic. Just good business sense at a really lousy time for our pilots morale. I only hope that I am wrong!

Go Guys and Gals.

I wish the best for all of you!!!!

Good luck guys,

I would gladly pay twice my assessment if needed. This needs to be done. The race to the bottom has to end.

I agree with the previous posters, if you guys walk, I'll happily crack open the check book.

Good luck, ASA might be right behind you in a few month.....

Thanks for all the current and future support from all of you. The Mesaba pilot group is a great one, just as are most of the rest of the regional industry. You all can count on our support as well when your various airline managements come to the table and offer serf wages to your hard working and professional pilot groups, just to crumble your spirit. Thanks again for all the well wishes.

Please release me, let me go
’cause I don’t love you anymore
And to live without love is a sin
So release me and let me love again
I have found a new love, dear
And I’ll always want him near
His lips are warm while yours are cold
So release me, my darlin’ let me go

Oh please release me, let me go
’cause I just won’t love you anymore
And to live together we both know is a sin
So release me, release me and let me love again

Oh, please, please, please, please
Release me, let me go
’cause i, I don’t love you anymore
And to live together is a sin
So release me and let me love again

Oh, please release me, let me go
I don’t love you anymore
And to live together is a sin
So release me and let me love again

Now you know how the Comair guys felt !

There is one rule in life that keeps holding true.

"No risk, No reward".

From a workers rights and union standpoint, they won't just hand anything to you, you'll have to take it.

Have they respected you and bargained in good faith ?

If the answer is no, than you now either stand (Comair) or fall (Mesa).

I only wish our MEC had some ethics in '97.

I heard somewhere that NWA can stop the CRJ deliveries to PNCL at 95 anytime. So if that is true, with the IPO underway and cash in NWA pocket there is no reason to build PNCL up anymore. I wonder when the carrot (34 CRJ's) will wave in front of the mesaba pilot group....

Last I heard it came out of C-Check from LCQ last week. I haven't been to work in a few days. SOmtehing I don't know?
