I was juts curious if anyone had any idea if XJ will be repainting their Saab 340s and ARJs in the new Northwest livery? Any ideas, rumors, etc? Thanks!

Doubtful...how else is everyone going to distinguish them as the Red-Headed Step Child of NWA? Besides, Mesaba isn't profitable at the moment (talking about recent earnings)...so unless NWA flips the bill, it probably won't happen.

Mesaba isn't profitable? Who told you that? I admit I have not seen the last quarter's numbers, but I have not heard one single word on Mesaba losing money, except for that Big Sky outfit.

As far as painting the planes, the Saabs will never get painted and the Avro fleet manager has been heard to say that there is no paint schedule for the planes...ever. Both the Saabs and the Avro's are looking a little sad, but all the oil, dirt and grease covers up the gaps in the paint nicely.

I saw a Saab a couple months ago with the new NWA colors on it, but it's the only one that I've seen.

You prolly saw either 439 or 441.....special colors but not the new NWA colors.

Could be. I didn't get a real good look at it, but it wasn't the normal "big-red Saab."

Thats exactly what you saw....By the way Mesaba is NOT losing money I can assure you.
