Gee, I'm in your debt. Now I know what extrapolate means, and I know that I have only myself to blame for my job situation. Where would I be without you?
Thanks for telling me to shut up and fly. Now I know what to do.
If it wasn't for you, I might have just sat here and cried that it was everyone's fault but mine that I am where I am.
I'll try to be a better pilot, I promise. The next time I think that we should change how we're treated, I'll just think of all those unfortunate souls at other airlines who have it worse than I do and " shut up and fly," as you so succinctly put it.
Our group whines collectively. That is why we are strong and that is why I extrapolated. My sincerest apologies.
Time to shut up and fly- and extrapolate some power settings.

Don't forget to take a chill pill with you.

You were supposed to say "yes, Dear!". That's how I always get the last word in at home.

Cargoboy,
I don't think that you would want Dan L to have your resume...find someone like an old flight instructor now line pilot or some other non management type to pass your resume along.

Oh Cathal....Xerxes Jehosephat??? I fell off my chair I was laughing so hard!

Thanks for letting me know that. Two x- mesaba pilots walked in my resume and ran into Dan Larson in the lobby and he said he would take it. He is doing the interviews is he not? I was going to walk it in next week myself. Otherwise I really don't know anyone out at Mesaba anymore. They all moved on.
If you know a name of a person please let me know.
Appreciate it.

WrightAvia,
I am so glad that your attitude isn't prevalent at Mesaba. I can't believe that you can stand on management side. FOs here deserve better pay and treatment. Sorry for wanting more than being your FO. If the complaining bothers you so much maybe you should take vacation and stay home. Oh that's right, vacations were cancelled again. But what is everyone complaining about at least we have a job right.

Yea...FO wages at Mesaba do suck. I got a few of them pay statements sitting in pile somewhere in the house. Good luck with your contract negotiations.

By the way...if you had to do it all over again, when you were interviewing with management over there in MSP, would you get up during the interview flipping over the table and running around the room knocking them management people out of their chairs and kicking them in the butt whilst foaming at the mouth? Or would you put on your best behaviour and still beg them to put you in your current position?

I understand the low pay problem. I understand the contract problem. What I don't understand, is that during layoffs and stagnant or reverse movement within airlines, why someone should whine about it taking 3 years seniority to get an AVRO FO slot.

I'm empathetic towards XJ's pilot group getting the contract they deserve.

Saabtrash, I AM cool.

Main Entry: nifty
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural nifties

: something that is nifty; especially : a clever or neatly turned phrase or joke

Why thank you! And you're quite dapper yourself!

Cargoboy:

Assuming you're flying cargo now (obvious, huh?) I think you'd really be better off in a turboprop. Otherwise, every time you wake up from a catnap and don't hear props turning , you won't freak out.
