I interviewed May 26th. No call yet, no letter either.

Same here, no nothing, I've been checking aviationinterviews.com every two minutes to see if someone posted something new, at least I'm not the only one. I think the CRJ's were assigned a base in the past week-or so I heard through the grapevine, so maybe that is why it is taking so long...I hope!

Guys/gals... no word on where the CRJ will go. One of the VPs said the flying would be out of MSp, but that doens't mean there will be a crew base there. The same VP said the mx facilities will be announced this week. There is a current vacancy out right now and it closes on the 13th. Another saab captain upgrade class starts in July, so I presume the next vacancy will be that one (05-09) which could contian CRJ info.

I talked with a certain DTW chief pilot that interviewed you guys and he said that everyone was impressed with the the candidates that week. Some days they wanted to hire all of them. So.. don't let the time make you think that bad news is brewing.

Don't worry!

This company is not consistent at getting back to people on interviews. Some people are interviewed and then have a class date within 48 hours of the interview. Others (like me 1 1/2 years ago) had to chew their fingernails for almost 3 weeks before getting a call.

Right now, the company is buried in CRJ stuff, summer flying increases, and the usual airline BS so if you don't hear anything for even 2 weeks, don't worry too much. Remember, most of the people they interview are hired - they don't bring you in unless they decided you were more than OK on paper and at that point, the job is yours to lose. If your personality or your flying skills suck, well then you're screwed at any airline you interview at.

Cheers

I know a couple of guys that interviewed at the end of May and just got the call earlier this week. I think they have a late June class date.

I belive the next newhire class is set to start on June 27, with the upgrades joining the class on July 4th. Yes welcome to the airline world, they WILL have you in class on the holiday. My class got to start on Memorial day so I know what it's like... It's a small sacrafice. Congrats to everyone hired, we look forward to meeting you all. Things should get really interesting here next month once the CRJ bids start going out.

Haven't heard anything either from a May 26th interview. No letter is good news.

My guess is that plans/date for the first CRJ FO class may not be ready yet. When it is, the calls will be made.

Good luck to those waiting for news.

Here's the memo..... yeahhhh did u get the memo???

Mesaba has decided on a crew domicile for the CRJ fleet, it will be MSP based. The initial plan is to have all 15 of the CRJ’s based out of MSP. The MSP CRJ base will have approximately 75 crews once all 15 airplanes arrive on the property. This decision to have the base in MSP was made due to a number of issues: Routes the CRJ will be flying, maintenance, and staffing resources. We are excite about adding the CRJ to our fleet and the announcement of the CRJ base in MSP.

The MSP CRJ positions will be added to the pilot Preference bid form later today. Per section 24.A.7.a of the pilot contract, when the company adds new positions to the system all pilots need to update their

Preference Bid Form. All pilots must update their bid form by June 30, 2005. Please go to www.mymesaba.com to update your Preference Bid Form.

Since publishing XJ Memo # 05-26, the 1st CRJ class has been pushed back a few weeks. The initial cadre (LCA and APD) will now be attending class starting around 8/1/2005. Mesaba will be conducting 2 classes per month starting in mid-August with class sizes averaging 12 pilots. The 12 pilots will be split evenly between Captains and First Officers.

Please contact Crew Planning or Chief pilot if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Manager – (S)Crew Planning
