Since this is an interview board, I thought I'd pass on some interview info. One of the DTW chief pilots just walked in to the crew room here and said HR called looking for resumes from him. They are interviewing 50+ on Mon-Wed of next week (the 14th) for a short notice class. He also confirmed that the change in the next class size from 6 to 28 is a fact.

I'm guessing it's all related to the latest buzz going on here. Get your resumes in!

The chief pilot found that out directly from HR because they called him over to MSP next Mon-Wed to interview people.

It'll be interesting. I just wish they would say WHAT is going to happen.

Very interesting. I've been sending them my stuff since last fall. Who is the appropriate person to address to?? I don't have any names...

Send your information to C/O Dan Larson MSP Chief Pilot. They are strongly encouraging every one to contact them if they are interested in employment.

Met Dan at my interview. Really nice guy.
When can you re-apply at Mesaba if you are not selected? I went the first of Feb and hosed the sim. Do the stuff everyday, single pilot, night, the works, and just brain farted on the stupid thing. Totally my fault, but even so, everyone was still super nice.
Looking forward to reapplying.

I think it's a year but I've never seen that printed anywhere. They didn't indicate that at all on your "Thanks but no thanks" letter?

Thanks. Mesaba is on the short list of regionals I would like to work for, so it really disapointed me when I did that.

Mesaba has a posting for pilot jobs on their web site now. I believe that it's been a long time since that has happened. It says not to apply over the internet, instead mail (or fax) them to

Mesaba Aviation, Inc.
Human Resources Department
1000 Blue Gentian Rd, Suite 200
Eagan, MN 55121-1679
Fax 651-367-5392

Looks like they'll be taking them 'till the end of June. Good luck to all!

I just got on the employee shuttle and talked to 4 guys heading to the training center for interviews this morning (Monday). Good luck to all!
