Now the MSP chief pilot states that we will be hiring 20ish/month through the end of the year. Which coincides with the recent hiring of Saab sim instructors and line check airmen.

The latest preview shows 12 Saab upgrades, which is the highest in a VERY long time, probably since pre 9/11.... according to the DTW saab CA preview, it went pretty friggin junior, from what I recall almost #600 of 860ish on the list?? Of course it's a preview but it shows you how slow it's been around here and how people are holding out.

But hiring 20/month and not upgrading that many, indicates something besides local attrition is going on. We're far from losing 20 per month.

I think it will be pretty funny to see how many people change their minds between now and the award date....
