To all employees, from Mesaba president/COO John Spanjers:

I’m very pleased to announce that Mesaba Aviation has signed a letter of intent with Northwest Airlines to operate 15 Bombardier CRJ-200, 50-seat regional jets under the Northwest Airlink banner, with exclusive rights to the next 20 44-seat or 50-seat CRJs that Northwest should order. Mesaba expects the first aircraft to enter service before the end of 2005Source? My Mesaba.com. John Spanjers President/COO

What do u mean ??? Now that it's official, it opens up a whole new can of worms for rumors!!! Which hub are the aircraft going to? New cities? New domicile? Future deliveries? How long will the saabs stay?

Congrats!

Congratulations to you guys and gals at Mesaba. It's been a long time coming. It's rumor, but I heard the Saabs are staying for a while and new hires will go to the RJ. Best of luck.

Congrats to XJ... It is great to see a company like Mesaba get some new airplanes. They are a top notch outfit!!! I hope you guys enjoy the CRJ it is a great airplane and will add some mix into the fleet.
