We should be getting a notice some time in the next few weeks. I talked to a CP the other day and he said the company is going through with all the furloughs but there will be a lot of change this spring. No specifics. Good news is there are other airlines hiring.

We'll see what happens with the furloughs. I think we'll get furloughed, but not for too long. Most people I have been flying with have been somewhat optimistic about the prospects about being not being gone too long. Do you really think that we'll be down to 49 saabs? I'll bet my left nut that we won't be.
Mgmnt has tipped their hand somewhat...No leases have been rejected on any planes except the 11 b's from pncl, the 2 crj's are still flying (keeping that type certificate alive), the bs seatlock deal they are trying to negoatiate with our Neg. Commitee(why do we need a seat lock if we're going to be a single type fleet)...just read between the lines of whats happening.
Seems like a good portion of my class is going to stick out the furlough for a little to see what is going happen, a few have left. Hang tough and keep your head up, there is a lot that has yet to be played out.

If management here at NWA gets it's way, you guys will be 200+ aircraft. They are looking at replacing the entire DC-9 fleet with the 76ers.

Yummmmmm....

That's a juicy lookin' carrot! Any takers?

YPF - gotta source?

Cya,

Whoa there, Hoss. Let's not sell the farm just yet. XJ seems to be on a 2 year cycle as far as employee morale goes. I don't want to work for XJ the rest of my life, worried about furlough, downgrade, or pay cuts every 2 years. I'll take a one to one trade of 76 seaters for avros. And all of Pineapple's flying, of course. Flame on.
