I agree!

What's a 1113c motion? Is that like illegal motion in the backfield?

Shy

It's a fancy legal term they use to ask the judge in a formal way to void all the union contract agreements.

Take a look what NWA is doing in 1113 in the major section. Lets just say it isn't a good thing!

I think its might be a good thing for us. This bankrupcy is a scam and everyone knows it. I would love the judge to finally get all the information, nut just the spongebob song and dance info, so he can make an informed decsion. I don't believe we will lose in court. Then again, who knows for sure.

i know a lot of us don't work there anymore but we've been keeping an eye on this thing. you guys have guts and are a great group. unfortunately the company is run by a couple morons. the pilots of mesaba are a respected group. give em hell.

I think the only way that will happen is if/when the senior guys hired in the 80's and early 90's loose big.

Nothing like having Saab FO's hired in 96-97. Getting my resume polished up for Mesa.......

Well, 14 more Avro Captains are being displaced to Saab Captains as of the last "realignment" award. That ought to piss them off. But, it's a true statement that when it all comes down to it, our senior pilots will ultimately agree to a pay cut in order to stay in business. I hate it when that happens...

Only takes 51% to put this bitch to bed. People may have folded before, but this is an entirely different time. If they keeping dicking with us, this company will cease to exist in very short order.

FULL PAY TIL THE LAST DAY!

I SERIOUSLY HOPE OUR MEC will have something to counter this.......like a vote of no confidence...wait that was done...and did not matter......how about a strike vote with a deadline....wait, that did not work in the last contract either.......sorry for the sarcasm......i totally respect the hard work our union guys and gals do for us, but from my point of view i think we are screwed unless we actually walk if they give us those cuts.....

So in short.....we all walk is they cut our pay....in this fake bankruptcy....please lets not give in on this one, i hear the NWA pilots just voted to strike if their contract is taken.

Good luck guys.. What a complete mess and I hope that your group stands strong together!! The best thing Mesaba can do is go public with this and protest it infront of NWA Passengers. This is similar to the "I make $$$ now and with these cuts I will make $$$" It does wonders when people see actual figures.

Fox Uniform Anderson, Fox Uniform Foley, Fox Uniform Spanjers. Fox Unifom to our whole "SLT"!

Fox Uni...what's that?...yes Captain Morgan...who was I talking to?...no one...just Flight Info...huh?...you're getting lonely and warm?...be right there!

Ok guys, I gotta go.

STFD!

It didn't make a difference last time. Why will it make a difference now? The general public doesn't care what the pilot's make as long as the fares stay low.

Message to Mesaba, Northwest, the Pohlads, Cynthia Surrisi

If you get your way with our contract, we will SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. End of story.

I do agree with you, in general this whole situation just blows. Good Luck all the AWAC pilots are on ur side!

Hopefully, Meijers is hiring.....

The DTW Avro CA who stated a few years back in the crew room that he would work produce at Meijers before ever stepping foot in a Saab cockpit may finally get the break he's been looking for.

Let me guess, someone who never flew the Saab right? Thats funny. There are a lot of guys I can't see going to the Saab with cuts so I guess we will see who puts their $$ where their mouth is. We are just a few months away from some really senior DTW ARJ Captains getting displaced.

Thats Awesome. You have to love the part where they write in the judges ruling so all he has to do is sign it. How considerate of our SLT. I can't wait until they rule that Mesaba Airlines has full access to the MAIR coffers and the sham is exposed.

True they won't care until they show up for thier flight and find it cancelled. Just look at the NWA mechanics. They couldn't shut down the airline, most passengers didn't even know there was a stirke much less care. If the flights stop then people will notice.

Let em..

Let the blow-hard a*^holes who "run" MAIR and Mesaba have what they want and we'll see what happens. No, we wont see, we know what will happen. People will die, innocent passengers will die because top-notch pilots are quitting in droves now to be replaced, at some point whence growth occurs again (and it will, mark my words), by idiots who only care about wearing a danged uniform and just squeeked through flight training on minimum passing grades to become real-life airline pilots. Who cares when mommy and daddy or trust fund or immense student loans will pay for the lifestyle.

They (the existing "Senior LEADERSHIP Team") want to break the union, they want existing pilots to leave, they want to decrease the seniority ladders to lower compensations. They dont care either because they will be rewarded for what wonderful cost saving initiatives they accomplished, take their bonus checks and golden parachutes and land in uptown safe from any and all indictments because any crashes to come will not have occured on their watch. Now, the poor idiots who take their places will have hell to pay answering questions from the media like "how could possibly hire such underqualified irresponsible children to fly real-live passengers?" and "how could you let any of these reprehensible management cultures occur?".

They have no idea the predicament and lives they are endangering by allowing the number one killer of passengers, human error, the chance to flourish. They have no idea that the accident chain begins with the corporate culture and management and runs down to the front line of defense, the pilots. They have no idea that they are creating an environment where that front line will be weakened by sub-par flight crews and sub-par cabin crews.

They have no idea. And how could they? The, ahem, President and Chief, ahem, Operating Officer of Mesaba has ZERO qualifying education credits to justify his position in the company. The entire management are ex- or existing NWA cronies who don't give a rats a*^ about safety or customer service for that matter. The entire MAIR/Mesaba structure is a redundant sham full of money that is not even being accessed by Mesaba (other than DIP Financing) in lieu of bankruptcy. MAIR has an operating management structure that is doubled-up at Mesaba (and Big Sky) and therefore has no real purpose for its existence other than a passive-investement entity, so why so top-heavy in management at MAIR? Why does the MAIR CEO make three-times more money than the Costco CEO and MAIR isn't even a Fortune 500 company, not even a Fortune 1000? MAIR isn't even in the Dow Jones yet the MAIR CEO makes as much as or more than some of the Dow company CEOs! And what does he produce???

Ahhhhhhh..... the rant is over. Let the 1113c commence.

If the CBA goes, does the BigSky 19 seat scope go with it? I'm not trying to stir anything this time, I just was wondering if someone informed on this mess could interject.

I think this whole situation smells funny, and I hope you guys tell em to stick it where the sun don't shine, and I don't mean Minneapolis.

No. The agreement is between ALPA and MAIR. Not ALPA and Mesaba. MAIR is not in bankruptcy, except maybe moral bankruptcy.
