Stage = stage length. Average stage length last quarter for the ARJ was about 420 miles.

Question is, about how many gallons of fuel would be used on such a flight. Obviously you're going to think of it in terms of lbs---that's fine too. How many lbs of fuel are _used_ (not loaded, but used) on such a flight?

At AWAC, our 146s burn about 5000lbs/hr. About 7lbs/gallon. Hey, it burns gallons per mile....not miles per gallon. I'm guessing the Avros are in the same ball park.

5000#'s/hour is pretty much what the AVRO's burn as well. At fl290/310/330 the engines burn about 1100-1200#'s/hr each. During takeoff roll/climbout it's about 2800-3000 each.

The AVRO also trues out around 420-435 ktas, so you can pretty much figure out your stage length burn.

I've never heard it called that, though.
