Isnt today supposed to be the day that the judge makes another the ruling on the 1113c filing? Or were tehy just filing another motion today? Any word from over there?

OMG

The judge isn't ruling today, it's just the first day of the second hearing. Today's MEC hotline just came out and has the courtroom update. It's pretty long. I'm reading it now.

At one point, Judge Gregory Kishel grew irritated with an attorney for the Mesaba pilots.
"The debtor is running out of cash,'' said an exasperated Kishel. "If I were to deny this motion, what bright ideas do you have?"

Yuck. Hook, line, and sinker.

Actually, if Foley gets you guys to fly for 19% less he is worth every penny to the shareholders. He will have the cheapest force in the industry by far and his lawyer buddies handling the bankruptcy got a windfall to boot. Too bad about the Mesaba folks being paid sub-Mesa, but what does he care about that?

You paid $10, and that was your first post?

Nice Username...After the crash, I though no one would ever put those two words together again.

Mesaba folks are not being paid sub-Mesa. Nor will they (I don't get a vote anymore, but it'd be NO). Be careful about being at Pinnacle and pointing the "You'll Get A Crappy Contract" finger at Mesaba.

Is that lawyer JS?

hello

are you serious? The judge actually said that? well, then its strike, as far as i am concerned. Lets see that judge's financial records, i am sure that he never was forced to take a wage far below his peers nor below a livable standard. That judge must be either pretty gullable or is promised a place on the carl polad payback list. Can you think of any reason why he cannot see that NWA, Mair holdings, and Measaba are creating this lunacy. ANyways....i am now just thinking this is going to get way worse before it gets better. I hope our union takes a stand.....we voted that way 98% if i beleive. we should not back down. Who cares if this place closes, those wages are not worth working here. Hell, can they really beleive that we will take those wages and rules? no way! By the way Your honorable Kishel....and if someone knows how to forward this to him, if we are average in respects to work rules, and pay, then i beleive its not us who needs to change our pay, that its management who needs to be changed, since they cannot operate in a competitive envirnment. He is thinking he will give these inept idiots a break so they can rape the employees even more? No way i will say it again, no way........he is a dumba$$ as far as i am concerned

Heya, K, I think he's on our side. Read his post again.

I don't think the Judge will side with XJ. I would bet that the union lawyer was getting a little long winded in his opening statement and the Judge was tired of it (remember he already knows this junk from the first attempt). My guess is this 1113c fails. I haven't seen the latest proposal but if I remember right from the last propasal (the mail out) the union was offering percentages in the teens for concessions. The judge knows the strike vote and that if we strike (for a substantial period) no more XJ and that won't help the creditors or the cash situation at all. Does anybody know from the new proposal how much the union is offering up?

what's the chance that a no strike order gets handed to us along with the company winning the 1113?

yeah, i get what you are saying about lawyers being long winded, i just hope to god he knows that we (at least me) will not under any terms accept the crap they are dealing out. I almost will say i am so fed up with their thievery that i will vote no to anything.

I think we should wait til NWa has to start their aircraft deliveries.....here is a scenerio that i see as plausable

fact-MAIR holdings, Pinnacle, and some financial group are acting as creditors to NWA bankruptcy financing

when air whilly did this, they were given such things as guranteed contracts to fly airplanes

Compass has not began to develop any infastructure- yes, one plane and a chief pilot and 4 croanies....no training, so FAA approval etc.

NWA will transfere, if not all or at least the operating rights of Compass to MAIR holdings, why else would Mesaba try to negate the contract between thepilots and MAIR.

Compass cannot be staffed by NWA pilots, after a year and a half, they will all be recalled.....i think at least 1/3 of the 800 or so will not come back.

i am not saying MEsaba pilots will get the Compass flying, all i am saying is something does not add up here with NWA-MAIR and mesaba.......2+2+2=19.4%

The court update is out on email. Funny stuff, I almost (I said almost) spit my beer when I read the proposed cuts vs the actual cuts as figured by Alpa. I don't know if it is appropriate to paste the email........I'm lacking in FI etiquette.

I just read it as well. It seems like today went much better for us. I was glad to see they addressed the judge's comment from yesterday.

For the fiscal year ended March 31, MAIR reported a net loss of $82.8 million, with $70.7 million attributed to Mesaba. In fiscal 2005, MAIR had net income of $7.4 million. ............// I can't figure out how to skip lines, sorry. Anyway, I guess no one really cares where the other 12.1 mill went. (from the Twin City Pioneer press) Makes me wonder who controls that paper.
